“I strive to develop abilities to learn music by sound, sight, and by reading”

As a teacher I hope to bring the same joy and excitement to my students that I have experienced in my own music. I have studied a variety of music and styles from jazz and blues to pop and classical, all of which I draw from in my teaching. In lessons you can expect to have fun and be challenged to play at your best with a full-hearted understanding of your music. I strive to develop abilities to learn music by sound, sight, and by reading so that you can gather your skill set as best and quickly as possible. With each new student I find an individual approach that best suits the needs of the lesson and student to quickly and effectively reach your goals. I enjoy teaching all ages and levels from beginning to advanced as well as coaching bands. Each summer I teach a variety of summer camps for upcoming musicians in elementary to high school with special emphasis on group performance. Please contact me about private lessons and availability.
